Villabassa is a superb village in the heart of the
Upper Puster Valley, surrounded by the unique
backdrop of the Dolomites and earthy forests. An
invigorating climate predominates, that is

Villabassa lies nestling in the Upper Puster Valley
in a protected location in the midst of the
Dolomites. Its very favourable height above sea
level (1,154 m) and the many days of sun per year
provide optimal conditions for a healthy and
recreational winter or summer holiday. Villabassa
has a long tradition as a high altitude health
resort, as the town was one of the first tourist
resorts in the Puster Valley, and can even lay claim
to having provided recuperation for one or two
prominent personalities.

the village of Villabassa invites you to enjoy a
whole range of leisure activities out in the
wonderful natural surroundings. Numerous hikes and
excursion destinations, both close by and a little

limitless greenery, shady woodland and unique views.
Guided walking tours will bring you to the wonders
of the National Parks or up the spectacular mountain
peaks, whilst lovers of mountain biking can try out
their sporting abilities on the countless, often
challenging biking tracks. Mountain climbing
enthusiasts and leisure sportsmen and women, as well
as families with young children and those who like a
bit of luxury will all find excellent value here.
Winter in Villabassa

wonderful snowy mountain backdrop and an almost
unlimited range of sporting and leisure activities
are what you will find on a winter holiday in
Villabassa.
The various skiing areas in the Puster Valley,
such as Cortina, Plan de Corones, Baranci, Monte
Elmo or Croda Rossa are all close by and there you
can enjoy extensive descents on pistes that are
certain of snow. Friends of cross-country skiing can
look forward to 200 km of cross-country runs that
meander idyllically through the snowy winter
landscape. And there’s plenty of fun to be had
tobogganing on one of the lovely natural toboggan
